Rowers take to the River Severn for Shrewsbury Regatta

Thousands of people will be in Shrewsbury this weekend to take part in, and watch the 2014 Shrewsbury Regatta.

Rowers take to the River Severn for Shrewsbury Regatta

The two-day event, organised by Pengwern Boat Club, will welcome competitors from across the UK.

The event which spans over 100 years takes place today and tomorrow on the River Severn.

Racing takes place from 8.30am to 6pm on both days from the Pengwern Boat Club in Kingsland.
