Programme tackles potholes in Telford & Wrekin
A two year scheme to improve the quality of roads in Telford & Wrekin has got underway as part of the Pride In Your Community programme.

This scheme will see three vehicles and a patching gang focusing on repairing potholes across the borough, improving the roads for drivers.
Pride In Your Community is £13.6m package of environmental and infrastructure improvements aiming to significantly improve residential and employment areas including district and borough towns.
Significant investment will be put into highways maintenance to improve road quality and safety on residential roads, key gateways into the borough and industrial estates.
Councillor Shaun Davies, cabinet member for Neighbourhood Services, Employment and Skills, said: “The improvements we make through the Pride In Your Community programme will support the Council’s business and housing growth agenda and will address issues that are important to local people.
“It’s great to see these vehicles getting out in the borough to improve the condition of the roads, especially after the winter weather has caused some deterioration in road quality.
“Much of Pride In Your Community is about involving residents in raising issues as well as helping to deliver solutions so if you have an environmental or infrastructure issue, let us know and let’s all take pride in our community.”
