Police arrest suspected drug dealer in Shrewsbury
A suspected drug dealer was arrested in Shrewsbury last night following a tip-off from a member of the public.

The 28-year-old man was arrested at around 6.30pm last night on The Dana, near the former prison.
Officers carried out a stop search and found he had a lock knife. A search of the immediate area, involving a police dog, located a bagged substance believed to be crack cocaine.
The man’s mobile phone and more than £1,800 he was carrying were confiscated.
He remains in custody at Shrewsbury police station on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place and possessing suspected Class A controlled drugs with intent to supply.
Detective Inspector Jon Matthews said: “Arresting people who supply drugs within our communities continues to be one of our priorities.
“This arrest followed information given by a member of the public and we urge others to follow their example if they see anything they suspect might be drug-related. Call the police on 101 immediately if you see anything suspicious.”
