Driver fails to stop after colliding with cyclist near Shrewsbury
A teenage cyclist escaped serious injury yesterday after a collision involving a car which failed to stop on a road near Shrewsbury.

The 18-year-old was thrown from his bike into a hedge by the impact at around 4.40pm yesterday on the B4386 Westbury to Aston Rogers road near the turning to Rowley.
Although his cycle helmet was badly damaged, he escaped with just bruising.
Police are now trying to trace the driver of the car, thought to be dark blue.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: “It was overtaking the cyclist at the time and there was another car travelling in the opposite direction towards them.
“I would urge the driver of the car involved to come forward and also the driver of the oncoming vehicle or anyone else with information concerning the incident.”
Contact Shrewsbury police station on 101 and give the reference number 0598-s-200514.
