Police appeal for driver to contact them following fatal collision
Police are appealing for a driver to get in touch following a fatal collision which happened during the early hours of Friday 6 June near Shrewsbury.

The incident occurred on the A5 near Shrewsbury at around 2.15am, when a red Vauxhall Corsa travelling along the A5 left the road and collided with a lamp post. The collision occurred near to the traffic island at the junction with the B4380 and London Road.
Police are keen to speak to the driver of a dark coloured vehicle travelling around the time of the collision, on the correct side of the dual carriageway between the Emstrey island and Dobbies island.
The driver of the vehicle may have been forced to act quickly to avoid a head-on collision with the red Vauxhall Corsa, which would have been travelling towards them on the wrong side of the dual carriageway and followed by a police vehicle.
Inspector Julian Smith, the investigating officer, said: “It is highly likely that the driver of the dark coloured vehicle will remember the red Vauxhall Corsa travelling towards them on the wrong side of the road and we appeal for them to contact us.”
Anyone who believes they may have information about this collision is asked to call West Mercia Police on 101, quoting incident number 0066S 060614.
