Much Wenlock Neighbourhood Plan to be put to council for adoption
The Much Wenlock Neighbourhood Plan will be put to Shropshire Council for adoption on 17 July after receiving the support of 85% of those who voted in the May referendum.

Shropshire Councillor for Much Wenlock, David Turner, said: “Now the plan has to be put into action. It contains policies including housing, the economy, flood management, traffic and landscape which will shape how development in and around the town will take place.”
A public meeting will take place at Priory Hall at Much Wenlock at 7:30pm on Tuesday 22nd July to discuss how the Plan will work.
Speaking at the event will be Andy Mortimer, Planning Policy Manager for Shropshire Council, and Ian Kilby, Planning Services Manager at Shirehall.
Councillor Turner continued “The meeting will include a question and answer session which will provide an opportunity to really understand how the Much Wenlock Neighbourhood Plan will deliver local aspirations for development. Affordable housing is clearly something that will interest many and I do hope for a good attendance at this open meeting.”
