Driver injured after car overturns on M54
A man has received emergency medical treatment after his car overturned on the M54 in the early hours of this morning.

The car overturned after colliding with the central reservation between junctions 4-3 of the M54 at around 12.40am this morning.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said:
“The car had been carrying a single occupant at the time of the incident. The man who had a reduced level of consciousness was treated for a potential head injury at the scene. He was fully immobilised and conveyed to the major trauma centre at University Hospital of North Staffordshire.
“The Trust’s MERIT rapid response vehicle, carrying a trauma doctor and a critical care paramedic, joined the ambulance crew en route to hospital. Due to the nature of the man’s injuries, the doctor gave the patient and anaesthetic on board the ambulance and travelled with the crew continuing to provide emergency medical treatment to the patient whilst en route to hospital.”
