Lorry blocks Shrewsbury road as U-turn goes wrong
A lorry driver blocked a busy road in Shrewsbury this morning after getting the vehicle stuck whilst carrying out a U-turn.
The driver of the lorry was heading towards Shrewsbury town centre when they realised they could not fit under the railway bridge in Cross Street.
The driver then attempted a U-turn close to the Pump House in Chester Street before getting the vehicle jammed.
Motorists where stuck in delays for around 30 minutes as the lorry was slowly turned with the driver making small manoeuvres.
Local charity BuildItInternational who spotted and tweeted about the incident said “If only we got a donation for every car stuck!”
