Young girl robbed of mobile phone and threatened in Telford

The young girl was pushed to the floor and threatened during the incident in Pool Farm Avenue, Leegomery, Telford at around 3.45pm.

She sustained minor injuries.

The offender is described as a white man, aged 18 to 19 years old, of a slim build and five foot eight inches tall. He had short gingery blonde hair, green or blue eyes, a pointed face with sharp features and a skinny nose. He was wearing a black beanie hat, black hooded top with an orange Adidas logo on the left side of the chest, black baggy jogging bottoms and black trainers.

Superintendent of Telford and Wrekin, Nav Malik, said: “We are taking this offence very seriously and it is being investigated thoroughly. We will work hard to ensure this offender is brought to justice. I ask for anyone who saw a man of this description in the area to make contact with police.”

Police are urging anyone with information to contact them on 101, quoting incident number 364S of Thursday 14 August. Crimestoppers can also be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via www.crimestoppers-uk.org
