First part of Bridgnorth pipe work completed a week early
Work to replace water pipes in Innage Road, Bridgnorth has been completed nearly a week early.

Work will continue in North Gate to complete the £60,000 investment, which will help to make water supply in the area more reliable.
Severn Trent Water spokesperson, Gareth Mead, explains: “We’re pleased to be able to say we’ve opened Innage Road early. We understand that road closures can be disruptive and, in this case, we were conscious that a fire station and a main bus route were affected, so we’ve worked as quickly as possible to get the job done and open the road. We still have temporary traffic lights in North Gate and will continue to work there until the end of September.
“This work is important because unfortunately, the water pipes in the area have grown old and are prone to bursts, which can lead to an interruption in the water supply. To help prevent this from happening in the future, we’re investing £60,000 to install 500 metres of new water pipes in the area.
“While working, we’re doing all we can to help minimise disruption and we’d like to ask the local community for their patience until the new pipes are in place. We’re also working closely with local businesses to make sure we don’t cause them too much inconvenience. Remember – we won’t be there for long, but the benefits will be.”
