Motorcyclist seriously injured in Shifnal collision
A motorcyclist in his 40s was given specialist medical care at the roadside before being airlifted to a major trauma centre following a hit and run in Shifnal this lunchtime.

The incident happened outside the library on Broadway at around 12pm as the motorcyclist collided with a grey mini and a black Vauxhall.
The female driver of the mini left the scene but was later arrested and taken to the Princess Royal Hospital.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Upon arrival crews found a man in his 40s, a motorcyclist, who had come off his bike following a collision with a car. The man had reportedly been thrown some distance and, upon assessment, ambulance staff found he had sustained multiple limb fractures as well as a nasty facial injury.
“The man was given pain relief before the paramedics and trauma doctor worked as a team to assess his injuries. They carefully immobilised the man with a neck collar, spinal board and splints to prevent further movement of the injured limbs before he was carried to the awaiting helicopter. The man was airlifted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, a major trauma centre, for further treatment.”
The Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford was called to the collision and landed at the nearby Shifnal Cricket Club.
