Young woman escapes smoke logged property in Shrewsbury
A 20-year-old woman escaped her smoke logged home through a first floor window following a fire in Shrewsbury early this morning.

The young woman was alerted to the fire in the ground floor kitchen by smoke detectors, but was forced to make her escape through her first floor bedroom window due to smoke.
The property became smoke logged after smoke from the fire was able to travel from the fire throughout the property due to all of the internal doors being left open.
Firefighters were called to the property in Connynger Crescent, Shrewsbury after unattended cooking caught light and spread to the kitchen units at the terraced property.
The fire was out on arrival but crews helped ventilate the property which was badly smoke damaged.
