Fifth person arrested on suspicion of murder in Wellington

A fifth person has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman was found dead at a flat on St John Street, Wellington, Telford.

The body of the woman, believed to be in her 50s, was discovered at 2.15pm on Monday 22 September.

A 34-year-old man from Wellington was arrested yesterday evening on suspicion of murder.

A 35-year-old man and 21-year-old woman, both arrested on Monday evening, remain in custody.

A 21-year-old man arrested on Monday evening and a 50-year-old man arrested in the early hours of Tuesday have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

The deceased’s next of kin have been informed.
