Shropshire Remembrance Services to Honour Fallen Heroes
Towns and villages across Shropshire will fall silent at 11am this morning as Remembrance Sunday commemorations take place.

The Mayor of Shrewsbury, Councillor Beverley Baker, will be attending a Remembrance Sunday service at St Chad's Church at 9.45am.
A civic procession will leave the castle at 9am following the route of Castle Gates, Castle Street, Pride Hill, Mardol Head and St John's Hill to St. Chad's Church.
The Mayor, and other civic dignitaries, will walk along with units of HM Forces and Service organisations to music from The Band of the RAF College.
There will also be a wreath-laying ceremony at the War Memorial in the Quarry at 11am. Buglers will sound Last Post, which will be followed by two minutes silence.
A March past and salute will follow immediately after the wreath laying ceremony on St. Chad's Terrace. Music accompanying the march past will be performed by The Band of the RAF College.
Councillor Baker said: “It is important to keep remembering all those who have given their lives to ensure our futures. Services are held across the town and the county in commemoration and, in attending, we show our respect.”
RAF Museum Cosford will be holding a Remembrance Service paying respect to those Service men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice during their tours of duty.
A service will; take place at Hangar 1 at 10.30am. The Service which will commence at 10.45am and will be led by Rev (Sqn Ldr) Richard Clement, the Station Chaplain RAF Cosford.
There will be a two minutes silence with the sounding of 'The Last Post' and the Service will also be supported by the Cosford Military Wives Choir.
South Shropshire MP and Defence Minister Philip Dunne has praised the contribution of the Armed Forces to life in Britain.
Mr Dunne said: “Remembrance this year is particularly poignant with both the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan and the Centenary of the start of the First World War. The commemoration of these two events, distanced by one hundred years, show our on-going commitment to honour those who defend our country and its freedoms throughout its history.
"I am proud to be representing the Government and South Shropshire at the Cenotaph in Whitehall for the national commemoration this year.
"I hope local residents will continue to support the Poppy Appeal, which has been visualised so imaginatively at the Tower of London this year. It is right that we all show our respect and thanks this Sunday to those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice in defence of this nation, and all of those who continue to serve our country.”
