Man steals Poppy Appeal charity tin from Shrewsbury store
Police are appealing for witnesses after a Royal British Legion charity box was stolen in Shrewsbury on Saturday.

The incident happened at Tesco Express on Ditherington Road on Saturday 8 November between 2pm and 2.15pm.
The charity tin, which contained an unknown quantity of cash, was stolen from one of the tills.
The offender, a man, is described as white, in his 30s, six foot in height, of a medium build with short dark hair. He was wearing a lime green hooded top with white writing on it, blue or black tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.
Emma Crowther, who is investigating the offence, said: "This theft came the day before Remembrance Sunday, and I find it shocking that somebody would stoop so low to steal from such a worthy charity and cause.
“I am appealing to other stores to be vigilant and to take extra measures in making sure that money tins and appeal boxes are secured and in sight at all times. I would also like to remind anyone considering to steal money donated to charities to think again.”
If anyone has information on this theft, please contact police on 101 quoting incident number 0643 of Saturday 8 November. Alternatively, information can be given to the independent charity, Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111 or via www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
