Man charged with manslaughter following assault at Telford pub

A man from Telford has been charged with manslaughter following an assault at a public house last month.

Malcolm Marsh, 46, of Johnston Road in Dawley, has been charged with manslaughter in connection with the assault that took place at The Crown Inn.

The male victim of the assault sustained serious head injuries and later died in hospital. The incident took place on Saturday 25 October.

Marsh, today appeared at Telford Magistrates Court and was remanded in custody.

He will appear before Shrewsbury Crown Court on 1 December.
