Neighbours star Alan Fletcher will open the brand-new Tigers merchandise shop at Telford Ice Rink on 30 November.

Tigers owner Wayne Scholes invited Mr Fletcher, who plays Dr Karl Kennedy in the long-running soap, to the event.

The opening coincides with The Tigers’ match against Manchester Phoenix, one of the club’s chief rivals in this year’s English Premier League.

And Mr Scholes is looking forward to seeing the Australian star open the club’s brand-new shop.

He said: “Having a fully-functioning shop is vital for the club, and to have Alan open it is a real bonus.

“He’s a really nice guy and is known across the world for his acting and musical talents.

“I was so happy when he agreed to open the shop. I want everybody to share in the success of The Tigers, and Alan will help us to do that.”

The new shop will stock a range of Tigers merchandise, including replica shirts, polo shirts, match-night programmes, stuffed toys, foam claws and much more.
