Elderly woman rescued from house fire in Telford
An elderly woman was rescued from the ground floor of a house in Telford, following a fire early this morning.

Three fire appliances were mobilised from Telford Central and Wellington to the fire at the property in Saxon Court, Apley, at around 4.30am.
Firefighters used four breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets to put out the fire, they also used positive pressure ventilation fans to clear the property of smoke.
Adam Matthews Station Manager at Telford Fire station said: “neighbours had attempted to gain access to the premises prior to our arrival but due to the dense smoke were unable to do so.
"Once rescued from the premises the occupant received medical treatment on scene before being transported to hospital by land ambulance.
"investigations into the cause of the fire are still ongoing but the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
"I would like to take this opportunity to remind people of the importance of having working smoke detectors in their premises with a minimum of one on each floor level."
