Firefighters tackle Shrewsbury bedroom fire
Firefighters were last night called to a fire in the bedroom of a three storey house in Shrewsbury.
The fire broke out in the first floor bedroom of the three storey, semi detached, property in Coton Hill at just before 9.30pm.
Two fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury to the property on Coton Crescent.
Firefighters used six breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, one covering jet and thermal imaging cameras.
The whole of the building was heavily smokelogged and a positive pressure ventilation fan was used to clear the smoke.
A pet rabbit was rescued by fire service personnel from the ground floor living room.
