Juvenile suspects repair damage caused to Shropshire nursery
Five juvenile suspects who were identified for causing criminal damage to a disused nursery in Shropshire have repaired the damage as part of a Community Resolution.

West Mercia Police were called to reports of a burglary at the nursery on 8 November. They attended to find that windows had been smashed, paint had been squirted across walls, ceilings and floors, furniture had been strewn over rooms and there was graffiti on tables and walls.
Five suspects aged between 12 and 15 were identified, and were dealt with by a Community Resolution at the request of the owner.
They attended the nursery, supervised by Police and cleared up the substantial amount of mess and damage.
Inspector Paul Mathison said “This is a great example of an excellent use of the Community Resolution process made possible by our officers hard work and innovation. It is also an excellent example of providing a service for the victim and educating the children as to the error of their ways.
The result was that the children worked tirelessly to clear up the mess and made the nursery tidier than it had been for a long time. The owner was very impressed.”
