Flood barriers go up in Frankwell area of Shrewsbury
Flood barriers are today being deployed in the Frankwell area of Shrewsbury as the River Severn rises following recent rainfall.

The Environment Agency are installing barriers at Frankwell as a precaution. Frankwell car park is closed today as a result of the rising river but plenty of parking is available in other areas of the town.
The Welsh Bridge Gauge was 2.55 metres and rising at 8.30am this morning. A peak level of between 2.9 and 3.3 metres is expected to occur this afternoon. The Buildwas Gauge was 3.74 metres and steady. A peak level of between 3.8 and 4.1 metres is expected to occur tomorrow morning.
In Bridgnorth the river was at 2.91 metres and rising. A peak level of between 3.0 and 3.4 metres is expected to occur on Sunday morning.
Five fire appliances including the Rescue Tender and the Water Rescue Unit were mobilised from Shrewsbury and Wellington last night to help rescue a sheep that had become trapped in flood water in Atcham.
A fire service spokesperson said: "Shropshire Fire and Rescue service would urge owners of life stock that are in fields close to Rivers and Streams to move them to higher ground away from the rivers and streams as the some animals can be cut off and isolated from the flock/herd by rising water levels."
