Man released on bail following death in Shrewsbury

A 45-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder in Shrewsbury has been released on police bail while inquiries continue.

He was initially arrested after the body of a woman believed to be in her forties was discovered in a business premises on Feather Lane, Shrewsbury on Christmas Eve morning. Police were called to the premises at just after 8am.

The woman’s next of kin has been informed. She has yet to be formally identified. A post mortem has been carried out.

Anyone with any information which could support the investigation is urged to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 117 of 24 December.
