Man thrown from car in south Shropshire border crash
A man was thrown from a car following a single vehicle collision on the Shropshire/Herefordshire border last night.

The man received pre-hospital care at the roadside by medics following the incident on the A4110 in Leintwardine at around 9.30pm.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said:
“When ambulance staff arrived they found a car which had rolled over following a collision. One occupant, a 24 year old man, had reportedly been thrown from the vehicle and had sustained a serious head injury and suspected abdominal and pelvic injuries.
“Ambulance staff stabilised the man’s condition and immobilised him with a neck collar, spinal board and pelvic splint before transferring him to the ambulance.
“The man was taken by ambulance using blue lights and sirens to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham; the MERIT doctor met the ambulance en route to provide further emergency treatment to the man for the remainder of the journey to A&E.
“A second patient from the car was said to be ‘walking wounded’ and suffered minor injuries. The patient was assessed on scene before being taken to Hereford County Hospital as a precaution.”
