Telford Tigers and AFC Telford United to join forces
Telford Tigers and AFC Telford United are to join forces, as both clubs look to promote the best of local sport.

A sharing of resources will combine marketing efforts, ticket offers and links to the local community.
The Tigers are favourites to win the English Premier League, while AFC Telford United won the Conference North last season.
And they have staged a remarkable turnaround since the arrival of new manager Steve Kittrick in December.
Wayne Scholes, CEO of Tigers owners Red Hockey Ltd, is looking forward to working with AFC Telford United.
He said: “I have been keen to build links between Telford’s two main sports teams for some time, so it is excellent that we are now working together. Ice hockey and football are both very popular sports in the local area, so it makes sense to get fans to enjoy both clubs.”
Both clubs will be offering exclusive deals for AFC Telford and Tigers season ticket holders.
“Marketing to the wider Shropshire area, alongside AFC Telford, is an important part of our strategy,” Scholes added.
“It will inform those who may have never seen ice hockey to come for the first time and hopefully, we can do the same for football.”
Tigers season ticket holders will be able to watch AFC Telford United games for the reduced price of just £13, with accompanying children free.
And AFC Telford United fans can attend Tigers matches for just £10, again with accompanying children free.
AFC Telford United Director, Stuart Massey, believes the partnership will give both clubs a unique opportunity to expand their fanbases.
He said: “The two sports have always been very popular in the area and there are already supporters who attend both AFC Telford United and Tigers games. With the Tigers playing most of their home games on a Sunday, our respective fixture lists complement each other."
“We believe that there is a real opportunity to create some synergy between the two clubs, offer reciprocal benefits to each other's supporters and ultimately increase attendances at both the Ice Rink and the New Bucks Head."
Roary the Tiger will be joined by Bobby the Buck, AFC Telford's mascot, at Sunday's game against Swindon Wildcats from 5.30pm.
