Shrewsbury man charged with murder

A 45-year-old man from Shrewsbury has been charged with the murder of a woman whose body was found in a business premises on Christmas Eve.

A 45-year-old man from Shrewsbury has been charged with the murder of a woman whose body was found in a business premises on Christmas Eve.

Nigel James Woolley, of Buttington Road, Shrewsbury, was arrested shortly after the body of 47-year-old Julie Mercer was discovered on Christmas Eve morning.

He was today charged with her murder and is due to appear at Telford Magistrates Court on Wednesday 4 March.
