A man has received a prison sentence after committing two burglaries in the Oswestry area.
Connor Davies, 23, of Queen’s Park in Wrexham appeared before Shrewsbury Crown Court yesterday, where he was sentenced to three years and four months in prison.
The sentencing came after Davies committed two burglaries – one on School Lane in St Martin’s and the other on Weston Avenue in Oswestry on Thursday 18 September.
Thousands of pounds worth of jewellery, a tablet, a games console and a laptop were some of the items Davies stole during the burglaries.
He pleaded guilty to the offences at an earlier hearing.
DC Della Grice, the investigating officer, said: "I am extremely pleased with yesterday’s outcome and hope this highlights West Mercia Police’s priority of bringing offenders to justice and protecting our communities from harm.
"Burglaries have a devastating impact on victims and the offence is completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated by West Mercia Police."
