Shrewsbury town fans yesterday paid tribute to a lifelong fan that died in London last weekend.

Nick Mann, 35, who grew up in Shrewsbury and attended Grange Secondary School, was killed early on Sunday morning following a tragic incident at a London tube station.

Nick’s Brother Robert was also injured in the same incident and is currently in hospital.

Nick had made the trip down to Portsmouth last Saturday and tweeted after the match that it had been one of his favourite away days of the season.

Over 6000 fans yesterday gave a round of applause during the 35th minute of the Dagenham & Redbridge game at Greenhous Meadow.

Nick’s picture was also shown on the scoreboard.

The football club said their thoughts were with Nick’s family and friends at this very sad time.
