Burst water pipe causes supply issues in Ellesmere

Residents and businesses in Ellesmere may be experiencing a loss of water or low pressure this morning following a burst water pipe in a rural part of the town.

Engineers are on site and are working to get the pipe fixed and everything back to normal.

A Severn Trent spokesperson said: "Currently we are isolating a long piece of main that will bring water back for the majority of customers and we have tankers on the way to the area to help get the remaining customers supplies returned.

"We know how difficult it is to have no water, especially at this time of day, and we’re sorry for the inconvenience this may be causing. We’d like to reassure our customers that we’re doing everything we can to get the water supplies back on as soon as we can.

"We’re hoping that most customers will have their supply back on in the next few hours."
