Police are appealing for witnesses and information following an assault on a teenage girl in Telford.

Teenage girl assaulted in Telford

The incident occurred between 7pm and 9pm on Tuesday 19 May at Black Ash Mount in Woodside Avenue, Woodside.

The victim, a 14-year-old girl, was assaulted after she was approached by an unknown man who tried to engage in conversation with her. The man then leaned towards her and she pushed him away. As she pushed him, the man grabbed the girl by the wrist. The girl managed to pull away from him and run off.

The offender made off in an unknown direction. He is described as a white man, aged early 30s, 6ft tall or more and quite slim, dark spiky hair, wearing a grey hooded top and fully zipped over mouth, grey jogging bottoms and Nike trainers.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any further information regarding a man fitting this description, is asked to please dial 101 and requesting to speak to PC 690 Nikki Burkitt at Malinsgate Police Station, Telford.
