Warning after man is seen hiding in bushes in Telford

Officers have received several reports of a man hiding in bushes and following people between Brookside, Madeley and Woodside in the mornings.

Parents are being advised to ensure that children walk to and from school safely.

The Safer Neighbourhood Team at Madeley have been patrolling the area on foot and on bikes and have not caught up with him yet.

A police spokesperson said: "We are asking parents to ensure that children are taking safe routes to and from school and if they are using the Silken Way ensure they are not on their own.

"No children or young people have been approached touched or spoken to and I don't want to alarm parents or people using the Silken way, but please ensure that you use it safely.

"We will be patrolling the Silken Way over the next week in the mornings and evenings. Please report any suspicious activity seen to us."
