Man charged in connection with Wellington bomb hoax
A 20-year-old man from Wellington, Telford, has been charged with a bomb hoax following an incident in the town on Friday.
Alistair Taylor, aged 20, from Victoria Avenue, was arrested on Saturday afternoon.
A 19-year-old man arrested shortly after the incident was released without charge.
The incident led to the closure of Victoria Road after a suspicious package was taken to Wellington Police Station by a member of the public who discovered it further up Victoria Road near the entrance to the Wellington Medical Practice.
Police continue to appeal for information regarding the incident, especially from people who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the Victoria Road area late Thursday night.
