Police release images of bikes stolen during serious robbery in Telford

Following on from a serious robbery on Ardundel Close in the Randlay area of Telford on Monday 15 June, police have released images of two bikes which have not yet been recovered.

Last month West Mercia police issued an appeal for witnesses to do the assault. Since then two men aged 22 and 24, all from Telford have been arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery. A 17 year old boy, also from Telford has been arrested on suspicion of Robbery. All three have been released on bail until Monday 27 July whilst enquiries continue.

The incident occurred at approximately 7.15pm, when the victim an 18 year-old man and his friend, were approached by two men, one riding a blue green trail bike and the other on a yellow moped. Both suspects were wearing motorcycle helmets and demanded the mountain bikes from the victims. Both victims were assaulted and received minor facial injuries.

The suspects managed to steal one of the mountain bikes which is described as a specialized P1 jump bike and is worth approximately £600, it is green in colour and is decorated with black skulls. The suspects were seen leaving the area in the direction of Stirchley, one of the offenders had the stolen mountain bike over his shoulder as he rode away.

The second bike is a Voodoo Aizan in orange with white forks. This was stolen from outside a house in Ketley Bank on Tuesday 12 May, believed to be by the same suspects.

Anyone witnessed the incidents, or has any information on the whereabouts of the bikes, is urged to call West Mercia Police on 101, quoting the number 769 of 15 June. Alternatively, you can contact the anonymous Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
