Enquiries continue after human skull is found in Telford

Police enquiries are continuing following the discovery of a human skull at a roundabout at junction 4 of the M54 Eastbound in Telford yesterday.
The discovery was made at around 1.26pm by maintenance workers conducting a survey of the embankment.
The skull is believed to be that of an adult male. Following the initial searches further skeletal remains were found close by.
Forensic examinations, excavations and searches are being carried out by specialist Police search officers and forensic officers who are being supported by forensic experts in archaeology and anthropology.
DCI Neil Jamieson said: "We are in the early stages of this enquiry. It is essential that we complete a detailed and thorough search of the area to establish if any further remains are present. We remain open minded as to how this individual happened to be at this location. We have been in contact with neighbouring and regional forces and have requested information in relation to those individuals who have been missing for a significant amount of time across the region. Although it is very early days we believe these remains have been at the location in excess of 2 years.
"We are unable, at this early stage, to link this to any particular person at this time. The Coroner for Shropshire has been informed and enquiries continue.
"The slip road on to M54 remains closed for the safety of those working at the scene. Highways England are assisting with traffic management.
"We would like to thank everyone who has been involved in the investigation and Highways England for their support in traffic management. We'd also like to thank their public for their patience whilst the slip road is closed."
