New bus service connects Telford College with North Shropshire
A new bus service is being launched to connect students from the Newport and Market Drayton area with Telford College of Arts and Technology.

The service, which will start running in September, has a total of 10 pick-up points across north east Shropshire.
They include Lilleshall, Newport, Hinstock, Hodnet, Tern Hill, Wollerton, and Waters Upton.
It follows the success of a similar Telford College bus service serving the Bridgnorth, Broseley, Ironbridge and Much Wenlock areas.
“We recognise that relying on public transport to access Further Education college can be difficult for people in some of the more rural parts of Shropshire,” said Telford College principal Chris Scott.
“As a result of our Bridgnorth and Much Wenlock bus route, we have been able to reach out to many more students from that particular part of the county.
“We are hoping that our Newport and Market Drayton service will have a similar impact in North Shropshire.”
He added: “Anyone coming from a family with a total income of less than £35,000 may be entitled to financial support towards their transport and course fees – our Learner Services department can give more information, on 01952 642237.”
