The crash occurred at the junction of the A41 and the B5065, Sandford, Whitchurch at around 7.10pm, a grey Suzuki GSX motorcycle was on the eastbound carriageway when it collided with a blue Suzuki SX4 travelling in the opposite direction.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “An off duty Community First Responder came across a crash between a car and a motorbike and called 999 as well as starting to carry out CPR on the patient.

“The man riding the motorcycle had suffered multiple serious injuries and was in traumatic cardiac arrest.

“Unfortunately, despite the best efforts of everyone present, nothing could be done to save the man and sadly, he was confirmed dead at the scene.
