Police investigate suspicious incident in Donnington

A member of the public was walking her dog along Bradley Road, when she noticed someone believed to have been acting in a suspicious manner.

The man was seen walking in front of Severn Edge vets from the direction of Asda, a lone woman left her driveway onto Bradley Road and it is believed that the man had been watching her every movement. He then walked along a pathway in front of Ashlea Drive and Waxhill Close properties, but adjacent to her. As she reached the park at the end of Bradley Road, she spotted the man exiting onto Bradley Road from the direction of Waxhill Close. The man then changed direction and headed down Ambleside Way after being seen.

The woman who witnessed the suspicious behaviour took her dog onto the green and peered through the hedgerow to see the man walking back in her direction. She then walked out of sight and noticed the man approach the five bar metal gate to the field. He then stopped and had a good look around the park before walking off in the direction of Granville Park.

The suspect was described as a white man, between the ages of 20 to 30 years-old, between 5ft 5ins and 5ft 9in in height, of a slight build with dark hair. He was wearing a grey woolly hat that had a peak, a black leather jacket with stitching on the sleeves and blue jeans.

PC Nikki Burkitt of West Mercia Police said: "We do not wish to alarm our communities unnecessarily following a report of suspicious activity; however we continue to advise residents to be vigilant at all times when walking alone."

Police are appealing for any information that could lead to identifying the mentioned man to determine the circumstances around the incident.

If anyone has any information please contact Telford Police on 101 quoting incident 536S of 20 September 2015.
