Police appeal after attack leaves victim with fractured jaw in Shrewsbury
British Transport Police is appealing for information after an attack at Shrewsbury railway station left a man with a fractured jaw.

Officers want to hear from any witnesses to the incident, which occurred just after 4.30am on Sunday, 30 August. CCTV footage of the attack has also been released.
Investigating officer PC Dave Hall said: “The victim, a 23-year-old man, left a nearby nightclub and made his way to the station to meet a friend.
“Upon his arrival at the station forecourt, he began talking to a group of three men. One of this group suddenly assaulted the victim.
“As a result of this sudden and sickening act, the victim attended A&E where it was confirmed that his jaw was fractured in two places.”
British Transport Police officers have been studying CCTV footage from numerous locations and have interviewed the victim, but are appealing for anyone else who was in the area at the time to come forward. They have also released CCTV footage of the incident in a bid to jog people’s memory.
“This was a serious violent assault, and we are eager to speak to anyone who may have been in the area at the time,” said PC Hall.
“Shrewsbury has a vibrant night time economy, with the town’s popularity increasing in recent years, attracting a growing number of visitors as well as regular revellers.
“Despite the fact the incident happened during the early hours, I am convinced someone would have seen this group in the vicinity of the railway station.
“Just a few seconds after the attack, a car can be seen driving past. Was this you? If so, you may have seen or heard something which could prove vital to our investigation.”
