Cannabis plants found dumped near Bridgnorth
A walker yesterday called police after they came across a number of dumped cannabis plants on a country lane near Bridgnorth.

PCSO's Mandy Leek and Mal Goddard attended the area on Stourbridge Road and located the plants following the detailed description of the location given by the walkers.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: "The plants appeared to have been harvested and there was very little that remained that would be of use.
"The plants had been torn from whatever containers they had been grown in and there was considerable quantity of compost around them area. It appeared to be a collection of six or so cannabis plants.
"The road is known as a cut through and there was nothing of value that could be used in an effort to trace where the plants had come from. The Council were informed and will dispose of the plant remains appropriately."
