Remembrance Sunday pride for Royal Shrewsbury Hospital staff
Two members of staff at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital have told of their pride after they were asked to take part in this weekend’s Remembrance Sunday event in London.

Del Young and Julie Haley will parade through the capital as part of the Women’s RAF Branch (WRAF) of the Royal Air Forces Association (RAFA) to pay tribute to the servicemen and women who have lost their lives defending the nation.
Staff Nurse Del Young, 55, of Shrewsbury, who joined the WRAF in 1981, said she is “extremely honoured” to be selected as one of 40 members to parade.
She said: “It is such an honour to be asked and I want to make my family, the service and the nation proud.”
For 53-year-old Julie Haley, of Telford, it will be the second time she has paraded at the cenotaph in London.
She said: “Having done it before I am aware just how emotional a day it is. It is a huge honour to be selected and I have my family coming down to watch, so I want to do them and everyone else proud.”
Mrs Hayley, a Switchboard Operator at RSH who joined the WRAF in 1980, added: “Prince William is taking the salute for us.”
