Books of condolence opened for victims of Paris attacks
Telford & Wrekin Council is today opening books of condolence for the public to sign in tribute to those killed in Friday's Paris attacks.

The books are available to sign at the Southwater One library building in Telford town centre and at the First Point at Wellington Civic & Leisure Centre.
Council leader Kuldip Sahota said: “Since the horrific events on Friday night, people have contacted me asking how they can show that they stand with the people of Paris and France at this very difficult time.
“Telford and Wrekin is a borough that has strong connections with France.
"This will allow anyone who wishes to to express their thoughts and support which we will then send to the French Government.”
A Book of Condolence has also been opened at Shrewsbury Museum & Art Gallery for people to add messages of sympathy following the Paris terror attacks.
The book is available in the Foyer for people to sign, and will be remain there for the next fortnight.
Councillor Keith Barrow, Shropshire Council’s Leader, said: “Words cannot explain the devastating scenes in Paris we have witnessed over the last view days. Our hearts and sincere condolences go out to all those who have lost their lives so tragically, as well as those who were injured and their friends and families. The local, national and global response to these horrendous events have been deeply moving.
“I would urge people to go and sign the Book of Condolence in solidarity with the people of France.”
Telford & Wrekin Council and Shropshire Council are today flying flags at half-mast as a mark of respect.
At 11am this morning people across Europe will join in with a one minute’s silence in memory of the victims of the Paris terror attacks.
