Police are appealing for witnesses after a road traffic collision on the A5 in Oswestry on Thursday.

Witness appeal following collision on A5 at Oswestry

The collision happened at around 7am near Mile End roundabout.

Two vehicles were involved; a blue Ford Ka which was travelling towards Oswestry and a blue Ford Focus travelling in the opposite direction.

The drivers of both vehicles were injured in the collision and were taken to hospital by ambulance. Both vehicles were severely damaged.

Police would also like to identify a third car which may have been involved but did not stop at the scene. It is believed this may be a Vauxhall Astra and the driver may have been unaware of the collision.

PC Colin Martin who is investigating said: "We would appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision and the driver of the third car to come forward so we can establish the circumstances of the collision. If anyone has any information, please call police on 101 quoting incident number 46S of 26th November 2015."
