Police in Ludlow are appealing for information in connection with an alleged attack and robbery in Gravel Hill, Ludlow over the weekend.

Man found with head injuries after Ludlow street robbery

The man in his mid-fifties was discovered with head injuries by a member of public at around a quarter-to-six on the morning of Saturday 12 December.

Police believe he was attacked by two men close to Munchies chip shop and the nearby Chinese restaurant in the Gravel Hill area.

One of the men is described as being white, aged mid to late twenties, 6ft tall and of slim build with short to medium length straight brown hair. He was wearing a light and brightly coloured hooded top, patterned with triangle shapes of various sizes and colours, with dark jeans. He is further described as having no facial hair and talking with a local accent.

The second man is described as white, in his late twenties or early thirties of average build and approximately 5'7" to 5'9" tall. He has short trimmed brown hair, is clean shaven and also speaks with a local accent.

It is believed that the victim was attacked twice before his wallet was stolen. The wallet is described as being a material wallet with pockets and no zips, containing several credit or debit cards and police urge members of the public to contact them if they locate it.

Please call West Mercia Police on 101 quoting incident number 155 of the 12 December if you have any information.
