Over 60 motorists stopped as part of drug and drink-driving checks in Telford
Police in Telford have conducted road checks today to protect motorists from the dangers of drug and drink-driving.

The high visibility operation on West Centre Way saw local officers and members of Shropshire Operational Patrol Unit stop approximately 60 vehicles for road-side checks.
PC Richard Jones said: "We conducted today's operation as part of our Christmas drink and drug-driving campaign.
"Breath tests and drug swipes were carried out and thankfully proved negative but we would like to remind drivers of the risks of driving the morning after drinking."
The operation also resulted in three vehicles being seized for tax and insurance offences.
