A man has died following a gas hob leak at a home in Telford this morning.

Man dies following gas hob leak in Telford

Emergency services were called to a property on Queen Elizabeth Way in Malinslee at around 9am.

Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to the incident and reported a smell of gas from within the property found to be as a result of the gas hob being turned on without being ignited.

Firefighters from Telford Central attended along with West Midlands Ambulance Service, West Mercia Police and utility company Transco who made the area safe.
