A horse has been rescued by a specialist team after falling in mud at Oreton near Cleobury Mortimer.

Horse rescued after falling in mud at Oreton

Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service's Large Animal Rescue Team along with firefighters from Cleobury and Severn Edge Vets worked together to rescue Khaheer the horse.

Crews were called to the incident at around 2.30pm and used specialist equipment to successfully help Khaheer to his feet.

Following the rescue, the horse was returned to its stables and is recovering well after a two hour rescue operation in boggy conditions.
