A light aircraft landed safely at Sleap airfield this afternoon after reporting a problem with its landing gear.

Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to Shropshire Aero Club at just before 4.30pm.

Two fire appliances including the Foam Pod and the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Shrewsbury and Wem.

An Operations officer was also in attendance.
