Police continue to investigate assault in Wem
Police officers are investigating a serious assault that took place in Wem last November, where a woman suffered multiple injuries.
The incident took place outside Chico's Pizza Express and Kebabs, on Aston Street, on Saturday 21 November 2015.
Sometime between 7:30pm and 8:30pm the 36-year-old victim has left the Castle Hotel on High Street with the offender.
Outside of the take-away restaurant the offender - who is believed to be known to the victim - has then assaulted her causing her to fall to the ground.
The pair have then left the area and returned to a private address where the victim was further assaulted. She required hospital treatment.
The offender is described as white, medium build and with brown short hair.
PC Richard Carrington said: "This assault happened on a Saturday night in the centre of town, so there would have been lots of people about at the time.
"I would urge anyone who saw the assault taking place or anything suspicious to call us on 101 quoting reference 49S of 30 December 2015.
