Concern grows for missing Telford teenager

Police are appealing for help in locating missing Telford teenager Benedicta Owusu-Daitson.

Benedicta, aged 15, was last seen at 11pm on Sunday 31st January at her home address in Burtondale, Brookside, Telford.

She was reported missing the following morning when she did not respond when called to get ready for school. It is believed Benedicta left home with her school uniform and book bag but did not arrive at school on Monday 1 February.

Benedicta was last seen wearing blue jeans, black boots and waterproof jacket. She was also carrying a Converse backpack. She is 5ft 2in tall with black hair and a small scar on the top of her nose.

It is thought that Benedicta may be in the Birmingham area.

Investigating officer PC Julia Hiller said: "We are growing extremely concerned for Benedicta's welfare. This is out of character for Benedicta. Benedicta, you are not in any trouble we are only concerned for your safety. Please make contact to let us know you are safe and well. I would also appeal to anyone who may have seen Benedicta to call us on 101."

If you know of Benedicta's whereabouts or have any information that could help locate her, please call police on 101.

Update 03/02/2016: Benedicta Owusu- Daitson, 15, from Telford has been found safe and well.
