A man was rescued by firefighters after climbing scaffolding in Shrewsbury last night.

The incident happened at Shrewsbury Railway Station in Castle Foregate at around 11pm.

One fire appliance from Shrewsbury attended the incident, the crew used a 9m ladder to bring the man down to safety before he was dealt with by West Mercia Police officers.
