Two arrested after baby boy is taken from his Telford home

A 9 week-old baby boy taken from a home in Telford this afternoon has been found safe and well.

Two women, aged 41 and 53, both from Telford have been arrested on suspicion of child abduction and are currently in police custody.

Police launched an urgent appeal for information after they were called to a home on Manor Road in Arleston, Telford at around 3pm.

A description and photo of the baby along with a description of a woman who he was thought to have been taken by was issued by police.

Police said he has been taken to a hospital for a precautionary check-up.
